Shelsea Duplessis Buckhaulter is a native of Florence, MS.  She is the 10th child of a uniquely blended family of the late Mr. Edward Duplessis, Jr. and Mrs. Jennie Louise Allison Duplessis.  Shelsea grew up in a family of musicians and ministers of music led by her parents who allowed her to take her first assignment at the tender age of 12.  Evangelist Buckhaulter ministered for 36 years as an organist and pianist throughout Hinds & Rankin counties ending with her last assignment at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Pearl, MS in 2011.  Shelsea received her K-12 education in the Rankin County School District.  She was the 6th child out her family to earn an instrumental and academic scholarship a to participate in the “Sonic Boom of the South,” and earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree at Jackson State University.  In 2007, she earned her Master of Music Education degree as well.  Throughout her tenure as a Music specialist and Middle/High School Band director, Shelsea began to receive from the Holy Spirit and answered the call of God in 2013 armed with Philippians 1: 6. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ!   She preached her initial sermon in 2015 entitled Not My Will, But Thy Will Be Done taken from Luke 22:42.  She and her husband of 22 years Minister Rico J. Buckhaulter were licensed and ordained in July of 2015 under the tutelage of Apostle John E. Williams and first lady Joyce Williams at the New Mount Calvary Christian Center in Jackson, MS.  Shelsea has been filled with the Holy Spirit and possesses a servant’s heart.  She lives by Philippians 4:13 and believes that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength!  In 2021, Evangelist Buckhaulter became of a graduate of the New Foundation Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Theology.  She is currently enrolled at New Foundation Theological Seminary completing a Doctoral of Christian Counseling and will graduate May 2022. She currently serves as a teacher for the Sunday School Youth Ministry at True Vine Church.  Shelsea Buckhaulter is employed with Rankin County School District as a Special Education teacher.  She and her husband currently reside in her native city of Florence with their son Cameron, God daughter Chabree and Fur baby Oreo.
